What’s the story on Self Help?

Self Help Has been coming together bit by bit over many years now. As a songwriter, I tend to be simultaneously writing many songs at once, at all times. Some songs are finished quickly, while some songs take years to marinate, eventually finding the perfect moments of synchronicity and inspiration needed to reach completion. All of a sudden, I get to a point where I look at my current collection of songs, finished and unfinished, floating around my consciousness, in the sky of my mind…and I say to myself, while wearing a big grin of inspiration, “I think there’s a record here.” That’s the point I’ve gotten to recently, and I believe it’s time for my 3rd studio album, “Self Help,” to be brought to life.

This will probably be my most honest and vulnerable record to date. Diving into the depths of myself, people I’ve crossed paths with, and our greater shared human experience. I hope this album can help inspire listeners to keep moving forward, to feel more compassion for people in their lives, and most importantly, to feel less alone in this wild journey we’re all on.

I’ve already begun recording three songs on the album, and I’m so excited about them! Check out little samples of a couple of them below:

The remaining recording & release of this record will cost an additional estimated $30,000.  I Self funded the few songs I already started recording in the studio; your support will not only help me finish the creative process, but enable me to release “Self Help” as it should be released:  worldwide & with impact.  Simply put, the more money I have for post production, the more people this music can reach:

• Studio time 

• Producer fees (pre-production/production)

• Engineering (recording, mixing & mastering)

• Studio/session musician fees (bass, electric guitar, drums, cello, background singers, resonator slide guitar, keyboard, organ, etc)

• Radio Promotion (College and Public radio campaign)

• Music Licensing (Pitching to Music Supervisors for Sync Licensing Placements)

• Videographer: Music Video + Meta Ads + Social Content ( I wanna really do this right!  High Quality!)

• Merchandising (Hoodies, T-Shirts, Vinyl/CDs, etc)

• Marketing/Promotion (Meta Ads, TikTok Sound Campaigns, Spotify Ads)

• Playlist/streaming Promotion (Spotify, Apple Music, etc)

• Album art fees (two singles, album, Vinyl/CD packaging/discs)

• Digital Distribution (Placement Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, etc)
